Liev Schreiber as Kingpin in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Kingpin is a crime lord who wants to bring back his family through Alchemax when they died in a car crash escaping from him after accidentally walking in on him fighting Spider-Man. Liev Schreiber's voice as Kingpin is deep and gravelly and too New York for the character. His performance, however, is scary, over-the-top and sinister. He used a Mark Hamill approach and he has a thick New York accent. He should be recast with Ray Winstone instead. However, all voice actors who have wide vocal ranges and multiple vocal registers should use that voice as inspiration for their characters' voices. For instance, Richard Newman for his voice as Lord Barnaby in Bugs Bunny's Tales of Adventures and Garry Chalk for his voice as Gobble in A Sesame Street Tale. Liev Schreiber, however, can use his Kingpin voice for his voice as Baron von Sheldgoose in Legend of the Three Caballeros. Liev Schreiber is a wonderful actor, but he would be better off in other roles like Ray Donovan in the TV show Ray Donovan and Victor Creed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. His replacement, Ray Winstone, would use his voice as Tyson in The Queen's Corgi, which would make Kingpin sound less Brooklynese and more British. We will, however, honor Liev Schreiber's voice as Kingpin as soon as the original cut of the movie with his version of Kingpin is released as an option for people to choose which version to watch. The male members of Monty Python Junior, the acting troupe I'm creating, will try to impersonate his voice.
